When comparing bridges and dentures, the main difference is whether they can be removed easily from your mouth. Dentures and partial dentures often replace multiple missing teeth and are considered removable appliances. A bridge is used to fill in one or two spaces utilizing at least one anchor tooth on each side of the gap. In order to make a bridge, the anchor teeth must be shaped (reduced in size- like for a crown). The final bridge is then permanently cemented and looks and feels like your natural teeth.
