Our patient had been self-conscious about his smile for a long time. He finally made the choice to invest in his smile. Dr. Scardella used zirconia crowns to achieve beautiful and long-lasting results. Zirconia is a ceramic material with superior strength and elegant aesthetics. The case was custom designed by our long-time dental laboratory partners at Sunrise Dental Lab in California. 

Although we ended up restoring almost every tooth for our patient, it was done in stages to spread out the cost of treatment and make appointments shorter and more manageable. The end result is just what our patient wanted- a bright smile with all teeth matching in color.

Dr. Scardella teamed up with a local orthodontist to help change our patient's smile. First, the teeth had to be moved into the proper position. Then crowns were done to change the patient's bite and appearance and restore the broken teeth. His transformation is complete.

Grinding your teeth can cause chipping of the enamel and wear patterns to develop. In one visit, we repaired this patient's teeth and took 3D digital impressions for a nightguard to help prevent it from happening again in the future. No numbing was needed for this procedure.

This young patient suffered trauma to her front teeth. Eventually one needed to be replaced with a dental implant. We also replaced an old crown on her adjacent front tooth to match the shape and color. These new restorations are indistinguishable from natural teeth.

In this amazing transformation, dental implants were utilized to replace the patient's old partial denture and broken down teeth. The final result is a fixed (non-removable) implant bridge on the upper jaw and a snap-in, removable denture with implants on the lower jaw.

Our patient wasn't happy with the current appearance of her teeth due to wear, chipping, and a space between the two front teeth. We placed 4 ceramic/porcelain veneers and added some bonding to the edges of the canines (eye teeth). The end result make the smile appear more youthful and bright.

Just four front teeth can make a major difference in your smile. In this case, porcelain (or ceramic) crowns (no metal) were placed on the front teeth. What a difference!

This is a great example of how dental implants can change someone's smile. Our patient lost 2 teeth and was a great candidate for dental implants. Over the course of a few months, the teeth were restored to their natural beauty. The advantage of dental implants is that they look and feel like your own teeth, you can floss easily between the teeth, and no neighboring teeth were damaged (which would be needed if a bridge were placed instead).

We recently adopted the KoR Whitening System into our practice and have been amazed with the results. Our patient had internal staining caused by tetracycline use while the enamel of the teeth was developing (as a child). Instead of a smile makeover with veneer or crowns, our patient was able to achieve whiter, brighter teeth using the KoR Whitening protocol. The results speak for themselves.

Chipped and worn teeth can typically be easily repaired with composite bonding in one appointment with no anesthetic. Bonding with composite resin is a very conservative treatment option that is easily repairable as well.

This is Joanna. She is a beautiful young woman, but was unhappy with her old bonding on her front teeth. She wanted veneers! Due to the size of the old bondings, veneers weren't an option so Dr. Scardella restored her front 4 teeth with all porcelain crowns. Look at how natural they are. Joanna loves them.

This patient chipped the edges of her otherwise beautiful front teeth. A simple one visit bonding procedure with no local anesthetic was performed to restore the teeth. The bonding blends in seamlessly with the surrounding tooth structure. Bonding can last for many years and is easy to repair if needed.

After years of dealing with chipped crowns and broken teeth, our patient Dan decided to replace all his teeth with dental implants. With the team of Dr. Scardella and a local oral surgeon and dental lab, Dan's remaining teeth were removed and full dental implant bridges (temporaries) were placed the same day. This is his final smile after the porcelain bridge was made.

Our patient had old, worn out dentures and wanted an upgrade. He also wanted implants to help keep his lower denture in place. Both wishes were met. Beautiful, life-like new dentures were fabricated and four dental implants were used to secure his lower denture.

Typical of hockey players, our patient needed his chipped front tooth fixed. Dr. Scardella used top quality cosmetic bonding materials and techniques to make a seamless transition from filling to tooth.

This is a great example of the power of dental implants. Our patient couldn't chew on the right side due to missing teeth. We placed two dental implants and restored them with natural looking, individual crowns. Now she can eat anything she wants on both sides of her mouth and can brush and floss around the implant like her other teeth.

Our patient came to us with an emergency- his tooth had fractured at the gum line! He was an excellent candidate for a dental implant. The power of dental implants is amazing. It looks and feels just like his own tooth.

This person wore through the enamel on their lower front teeth, exposing yellow, soft "dentin" underneath. A simple, one-visit bonding procedure was performed. Novocaine was not needed. A beautiful result!

Our patient didn't like that one tooth was shorter than the other. It also had an old bonded filling which needed to be replaced. Cosmetic bonding was used to lengthen her tooth to match its neighbor. Another happy patient!

Our 17 year old patient, Brian, recently had his braces removed. His lateral incisor was too small and he wanted to close the space for cosmetic reasons. In one simple appointment, without needing any local anesthesia, we were able to fix the issue with composite bonding. The result is an appropriately sized tooth for the space.

After years of dealing with an ill-fitting partial denture, our patient decided it was time for a smile makeover. An upper full denture was made and it renewed her confidence to smile again.

Greg used to have a partial denture, which he got tired of wearing. After a couple successful dental implants with his lower teeth, Greg asked Dr. Scardella to replace his upper partial with implants. The results came out extremely aesthetic and Greg was happy to get rid of his partial.

Our pediatric patient chipped her front tooth in a fall. Dr. Scardella restored the tooth with a composite resin filling, or "bonding."

This patient broke a tooth with an old silver (amalgam) filling and came to see Dr. Scardella as an emergency. Fortunately, the tooth was able to be saved with a crown (cap). The crown is an all-ceramic material with no metal.

Nate came to Dr. Scardella after a basketball accident in which his front tooth needed to be removed. We placed a dental implant and attached a porcelain crown to restore his smile.

This patient came to Dr. Scardella after her braces were taken off. A few small cavities and white spots ("decalcifications") were visible on the front teeth. With minimally invasive resin composite fillings, or bonding, the teeth were restored beautifully.

Whitening the lower teeth on Tom made him more aware of the yellow discoloration of his upper teeth. Two short appointments later he had 6 handsome porcelain veneers placed on his upper front teeth which now match his lower teeth.

Our patient came to Dr. Scardella unhappy with his teeth and smile. He had periodontal disease and a few teeth needed to be removed. We restored his upper teeth with a partial denture.

Diomaris came to Dr. Scardella with multiple broken down teeth, some of which could not be saved. Her smile was restored beautifully by Dr. Scardella using a combination of dental implants and all porcelain crowns.

This patient came to Dr. Scardella like many people do with a broken tooth. The tooth used to have an old silver, amalgam filling. Dr. Scardella was able to save the tooth with an all-ceramic crown.

Here's another tooth Dr. Scardella was able to restore with an all-ceramic/porcelain crown. The patient came in as an emergency when the tooth fractured and the old filling came out. The patient left with a temporary crown and a couple weeks later the permanent crown was placed.
